How to Have Safe Sexual Activity

If you are like most teenagers then high school is a very important time in your life. It is also a time when you are more interested in boys than ever and boys will be more interested in females than ever and this is a situation that leads to sexual tension. The majority of high school students are very curious about sex and they are being pressured by others to have sex in addition to the person that they are interested in. This is why they mandate that students of this age attend health classes so they can tell them that they should have safe sex. However, since they are inexperienced they do not know how they could go about doing this and their parents have not yet spoken to them about sex so the children are left without a clue of how they could best protect themselves. The ways that teens find out how to protect themselves are more often than not online because they are comfortable looking for the information without anyone knowing. With this being the case I intended to help these students learn the best ways to protect themselves.

How to Have Safe Sexual Activity

1) Condoms
Every time you think of having sex you will want to make sure that a condom is present, if you are a female then it is VERY likely that your boyfriend will ask you to not use it. However, without it you can easily get pregnant so you should demand that if you are going to do anything condoms must be used and they must be latex. They may be less comfortable but they protect against pregnancy better than anything else could.

2) Spermicide
This is a chemical that is added to the condom, this is for added protection and it is best for you to get condoms with this but you should follow the directions and use them only once in a 24-hour period for your protection

3) Water-based lubricant
Lubricant can make things go a lot easier when you are having sex and it can reduce the strain on the condom, which will prevent it from breaking. However, make sure it is water-based and not oil-based because it will break easier if it is based on oil

4) Wash properly
Once you have sex you should wash your vaginal area to get anything left inside cleaned up properly, if you are not taking the pill then you will want to use a female condom to protect yourself as much as possible.
